Some say that romance is dead. I don’t think that it’s dead. I just think that our expectations have been lowered. Quick and convenient has polluted our relationships to the point where the effort of being truly romantic is seen as being over the top. We settle for emoji’s, watching TV together, and hanging out.
Romance is so much more.

Here are today’s Tips For Building Resiliency and Celebrating National Resurrect Romance Week:
Remind your significant other as to why you cherish them in the first place.
Romance takes effort and a dash of creativity. Here are some suggestions based on the Love Languages that got me thinking:
Verbal appreciation is extremely powerful towards those who have Words of Affirmation as their primary love language. How about leaving a sweet or sexy note in their coat or on the dashboard of their car?
Acts Of Service might be breakfast in bed or even making the bed.
For those you appreciate Gift Giving, try to think of a meaningful gift, that doesn’t cost anything. Be creative like framing a favourite picture of the two of you.
Quality Time together might be setting up a date night, complete with dressing up. Or going out on an unplanned adventure together.
And for the fifth love language of Physical Touch you may try a foot massage or just holding your special someone’s hand while you drive.
Finally, remember that little romantic gestures here and there won't make an ounce of difference to the quality of your relationship if, the rest of the time, you treat your partner in unloving, negative and disrespectful ways.
